2015 Mitsubishi outlander gt stereo replacement
I have been wanting to replace the factory navigation unit in my 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander GT with the Kenwood Nav unit but have been told that I shouldn't even consider this move because in so doing i will lose everything that is programmable thru the factory unit. I have been told that this is one unit that shouldn't ever be removed and replaced with any after market unit but yet I am not liking the factory unit by Rockford Fosgate at all. Can anybody out there help me in this with the truth about whether or not the factory nav unit can or cannot be replaced with an after market unit safely and without destroying any of the functions of the car? Thank You.
You will loose the voice control and Bluetooth that's built into the car.
You will likely need a special adapter if you want to keep your steering wheel controls.
You will need a special kit to make it fit into your dash.
The factory amp will not turn on as it is controlled over the CAN.. You will probably need to buy and replace the factory amp and do a bunch more wiring than just a standard stereo swap.
