Default 2017 SE rear brake with electronic parking brake

I need to do the rest brakes and rotors. Do I put the car into service mode before I take the rotors off?
This video is for a 2022 will it be the same for a2017?

The link does not work. Putting brakes into service mode is inside your handbook. You know when it is in service mode as the EPB light flashes on the switch.

Do this before you take anything off. It winds back the electric actuators. If you try to push back the pistons before putting it in service mode you will damage them and then need 2 new calipers

Thank you for your reply.

I am not finding the info in the owner manual. I will keep looking, but if you know what section it is in would be helpful.

Thanks again
