Default 2019 outlander sport transmission out at 57k

We bought brand new..got extended warranty. Noticed jerk and shudder in tranny last week. Dealer said transmission is shot and warranty will not cover because we didn't have fluid changed by 30k. Had it done at 40k last spring! Is there anything we can do??

my manual for an Outlander 2019 2.4 ltr in canada say that the transmission oil should be replaced at 32k miles or or48k km and thats for intensive usage.

The proof that your car fall under the intensive usage schedule bear to them .... i would fight with them really hard , some clause are not reasonnable and will be dismissed in court I am sure good luck

Do you have a copy of the extended warranty you bought? If so, I would check the warranty for the fine print. I have a 2016 Outlander and my tranny went out at 40k and I have no idea when the fluid was ever replaced and they replaced my tranny with zero questions other than " do you have an an extended warranty on this" and I answered yes and they said "thank goodness because your cost just went from $8000 to $50.00". So I would for sure check your warranty and see where it specifically states that and if it doesnt, I would speak with someone higher up than who you have been and let them know that 10k over on a tranny fluid change is NOT the reason that tranny failed. Its because its a Mitsubishi and they dont want to spend the money to replace it. I would for sure fight it.
