Default 2021 LS 2WD Towing Tandem Jetski Trailer loaded

Hi Guys,

I have an 2021 LS 2WD outlander and looking to buy and tow an tandem jetski trailer, i know weight wise its ok, unbraked 750kg , brakerd 1600kg, but wanting to know how the 2WD performs on the boat ramp, launching and pulling. I wouldn't be taking it off-road, ie on beach etc as I know it would get stuck.

If anyone has experience in this would be appreciated.

Thanks

I had a 2013 fwd when I was towing things it felt like the tires would slip on flat/dry ground. My 4wd 2018 does not have that issue. I personally think you might have issues pulling up a boat ramp due to the lack of traction with the weight shifted backwards.

I had no issues in 2wd mode on my old ZG whilst retrieving the 13' tinny from the boatramp. Granted, it's probably not as heavy as two jetski's, but if your trailer is balanced correctly it should put not a lot of downforce on the towball anyway. Worst case scenario, if you can't get traction, move your ski's back on the trailer a bit, thus 'lifting' your towball and forcing the car nose down. Obviously, once you are on level ground, crank the ski's back to where they should be.
