Default 5000k HIDs installed

UPDATE: SEE PICS post #8 below

Put in the HID kit with the inline capacitors that came with the kit but the lights still flicker because of the DRL. If I turn on the headlights it goes away but I dont want to drive with all my lights on all the time.

Does anyone know what the problem could be. I thought that maybe the in line capacitors are maybe made for the wrong voltage or uf but other than that Im stumped.

Any suggestions? thanks

OK i found out that the capacitors that came with the kit (although they do not specify) are likele the wrong voltage and or mf for the outlander. I have another set on the way with a different rating that should work. I will let you know what happens.

Thanks for the replies

if the new in-line capacitors don't work, don't forget to check dekodan's sticky :

did the capacitor mod to the relay, and my HIDs don't flicker... but they are always on...

Hey thanks for the link.

Well I got the new cancellers and put them in and they dont work either, they still flicker! They were supposed to be 12v 4700mf, so I cant see why they should work any different than soldering in a capacitor.
I guess I will get a relay and a cap and try it though.

Maybe My HID kit is not compatable with the outie, its a digital slim ballast kit. Any thoughts as to the problem im having?

Here are a couple pics of the kit. Finally got it working properly, 5000K HIDs which act as running lights durring the day when rest of the lights are off (Looks very OEM). Then I just turn the lights on as usual. No messing around, no flickering, works perfect! Just needed to pop in a simple capacitor.

Im also looking into a nice HALO HID kit from dashzracing when it comes out PM me for details. Or search because there is a thread where you can jump in on a group buy.

Thanks for viewing, please comment
