Default ABS rear sensors

Hi everybody,

I am currently replacing rear abs sensors an my 07 Outlander. My question is: where inside the car is located the plug to connect the new sensor? I saw an inspection cover but they are to small to fit a hand.....
Have anyone gone through this before?

Thanks!!!

Are you talking about the wheel speed sensors? Those should be near the brakes...

Yeah, the rear wheel speed sensor is mounted on the rear knuckle with one bolt. Use some penatrating oil to loosen it....it is in there very tight. The connector is outside of the vehicle....remove the old one and you've found the connector.

Guys, thank you for your answers. Just to be more clear. I found the sensor and removed it. That's not the problem. The problem is where is the connector inside the car. The sensor comes with a cable that enter into the body (it is not a sensor with a built in connector). If someone went through this will realize what is the problem.

Check the service manual... The WSS I found online has a molded plastic connector at the end of it.

when I replaced my rear shocks last year, I had to pull the plastic panels from the cargo area and there is a whole lot of connectors and sensors behinds those ginormous plastic pieces. that'd be my guess. you have to pull the trim from the back door door sills first, then find all the bolts hidden in the floor, like 4 per side, then the handles up the sides have hidden bolts and don't forget the cargo anchors, finally then start gently popping the clips that are from the inside of the panels, great fun, if you have patience and pry gently at first, you won't break too many tabs.
