Help to identify this part from an outlander engine.
In A 2010 Outlander with a 2.2 Di-D motor.
I had issues with this part in the images, it is something like an air intake sensor based on an NTC ( resistance changes with temperature ) this is the old one which was replaced and likely failed because it was full of crap. Actually I think it was so wet with debris that its resistance was changed to be out of range by the Computer.. No idea where in the engine it came from. The issues have returned so I want to have a look if the replacement is also now covered in crap. Mabe even put this old one back which I have cleaned up.
I cannot find where it came from in the engine or exactly what it is called.
when this part is dirty; my car does this freaky huge loss of power, and to get it back I must re-start the engine.

without knowing what the hell you have...all you are going to get are guesses. put your information in your sig and we won't have to read your mind.
sure looks like a MAF sensor to me...but not for the 6B31 3.0L.

not to be obtuse, but that's a fairly large bolt hole and normal size clip, have you followed the harness ends around looking for that very arrangement of bolt and clip? the o-ring would indicate it's in a location where moisture may build up, as above, if it's a temp sensor, could be hiding above a wheel well or some other semi protected area
