Default ABS Valve

I have a 2010 Mitsubishi outlander with front wheel drive. The ABS warning lights came on (ASC too). Dealer said needed replacement. Repair cost $3000. I purchased a used ABS pump/ECU. I had that installed and took it to an out-of-town dealer for programming. They said it wasn’t the right part. It came from a 2011 outlander although that one had all wheel drive. I said the ECU out for repair. They said it had a software corruption and they reprogrammed it. The question is the ABS pump looks identical between the two. I guess there is a chance that the problem was with the pump portion and not the ECU. In that case, putting in the original repaired ECU/pump might not solve the problem. Are the ABS pumps the same whether FWD or 4WD?

the most common sense answer is, "why would the 2WD vs 4WD have different units", except the 4WD uses ABS to slow the rear wheels to the same speed when simulating a locked differential - I guess the only real way to know if find the VIN for a 4WD to compare parts at the dealer. It is very difficult to find a knowledgeable Mitsubishi parts guy. I go here: https://www.universalmitsubishi.com/ they were the old Glendale Mitsubishi and all the same people moved over there, so they have a lot of experience
