I have a 09 Outlander with Rockford Fosgate 6 cd changer system but no nav since I couldn't afford it.

Recently I've been looking at some after market nav units made for the car but the info is too complicated for me therefore I was wondering if any of you has purchased such unit and if I could get some answers and help.

First of all of what I understand, most of the units have 4 audio output (according to the info provided). Or they say 4x45w output. The way I interpret this is that since my system has 4 speakers, 2 tweeters and a woofer, there will be connection only for the 4 speakers hence disabling the tweeters and the woofer. So I am wondering if these units are compatible with the sound system.

Secondly, they talk about CAN BUS. What is this for? Is it like an adapter? What is it needed for?

Obviosely I won't be able to connect this unit myself but the last thing I want to do is pay for it, bring it to the audio shop and them telling me that the unit is not compatible with the system. Any ideas on what should I be looking for in terms of description and features?

CAN BUS adapter is required for Rockford Fosgate system to activate the amp or something to that extent.
Installation is pretty easy, I would say close to trivial. Shouldn't be a problem as long as they say they are for the Outlander. The two listed should work without any issues provided you get the adapter.
