Hello. Thank you for the nice post! Your custom startup image showing Mitsubishi Outlander and kenwood garmin fosgate, seems to have disappeared. Are you able to send it to me or post it so that I could use it on my deck? Thank you.

Anyone can tell me the wire color for the steering wheel control in the harness?

Yes. You will want to use the blue wire (PIN 22 - top row second pinout from the left) which is located in the factory connector harness.

Now I am totally confused. According to Metra Axxess' manual the connector Pins in question are labeled 9 and 19, where Pin No 19 corresponds to Pin 32 on the Picture above and Pin 9 to Pin 22 above. Furtheremore Metra prompts to connect the signal wire to Pin 19 (32) and not to Pin 22 as instructed above. Pin 9 in Metra's manual (Pin 22 above) should be grounded. The manual I am referring to:

What is going on here....?

It's because you are using different hardware than I am using. You are using Axxess hardware (formerly Metra). The instructions I provided were for PAC-SWI-PS made by Pac Audio. I've installed it using the instructions from pac audio and it works fine. Perhaps they both work?

glad you guys could make use of the background image... i used the metra axxess aswc and it says pins 9 and 19 which are blue and black respectively.

on the other pic with the harness that labels the pins 22 and 32, if you count from the right across to the left you'll get pins 9 and 19, so i'm pretty sure the pins are correct.

post some pictures if you're still not sure.

Hallo,

I'm driving a Mitsubishi Outlander XTRA 2,2 D in germany. I have changed the original radio against a Kenwood DNX9280BT with a rear camera from china (costs 22€ from EBAY). I have changed the Bootscreens (@firstorbit84: thanks for the pictures in this posts) because i don't have a Fosgate Sound System. The next comes a Pioneer TS-WX110A for a little more bass sound.

Here are my changed pictures:

picture1 bmp-Format
picture2 bmp-Format
picture3 bmp-Format

The pictures will be loaded from my website, they are in original format for Kenwood.

I have a question: How I can change the backround of my Kenwood unit?

Best regards from germany
Egbert Gertz
