Air Conditioner Issues
I have a 2003 Mitsu Outlander that i bought used 1 year ago. The air conditioner is running fine, however it leaks from the inside and makes a noise like water running while doing all of this. Anyone havea similar problem? Please help me!

I don't know the details of where to find the components in your particular model, but it sounds like the evaporator drain tube is plugged. There is generally a drip-pan under the evaporator(a small radiator-like unit that gets cold and the air flows through it to cool down) with a drain tube that lets the condensation that forms on the evaporator drain out onto the ground. You often see a drip near a wheel well on cars idling with the AC on in humid weather.
The evaporator is usually somewhere near the fan blower motor under the passenger side of the dash. Maybe someone with a diagram can point out exactly where it is.

I agree. There is a small rubber drain hose on the firewall in the engine comartment pointing toward the ground, on the passenger side. They get plugged with crap, and like stated above, don't allow the normal condesation from the AC system to drain out. You can usually free it up with a coat hanger.

Get it fixed ASAP. If the water sits in the drain tray due to a plugged drain, it is only a matter of time before you will have mold.
Mold in the HVAC system is exactly why I traded in my '03 CRV on the outlander. Mine was actually due to a Honda service tech flipping the drain tube up to keep from getting dripped on while changing the oil on the first or second oil change. We had a mildew smell that grew into a full blown mold smell in the first year of owning it. It smelled like sweaty gym socks filled with wet tobacco. It caused all kinds of allegy problems with the entire family. I fought the dealership for 3 years with little success. They didn't want to take it apart to clean the Heater & evaporator cores and the spray in disinfectants just did not cut it.
