Default Always my luck........

I surprised my girl with a new system upgrade for her truck. Got her a 15" Kicker CVR, and a Kicker ZX300.1 with Bass Remote Module. Pulled off the radio surround, located the Accessory wire (Pin 21). Tapped the wire and rolled up the retest and stuck it behind the radio. Went to tap into the speaker wire to install the RCA Converter, and noticed any diagrams I found weren't clear on which was which. That was yesterday by the way. Today, I drove to my buddy's shop this afternoon, and he located the wires for me. I told him I would tap into them when I got home. Started the truck, put it in gear and bam!......"Airbag System Service Required" comes on the cluster. What gives? The plug on the back of the radio surround that everyone says "make sure you didn't forget to plug it in," was plugged in. Wiggled all the connections under both seats too. All were intact, what is causing this? I know by leaving that remote wire tapped into the accessory wire would not cause this, because it isn't touching anything, it's all rolled up. Away from anything. That is NOT the cause. So what is???

Im going to assume you did the same thing I did and complete the install without disconnecting the hot wire from the battery. I have seen that you have to take it to the dealer and have the "airbag control mudule" reset

Rule number one while doing anything electrically related, REMOVE THE DAMN NEGATIVE TERMINAL OFF THE BATTERY!

Default first world problems

The red one lol for some reason this is always one step I miss, although I know it should be my first and last step when doing anything with wiring.
Sebba have you found any additional info to turning off this warning light? I have a service appointment this week that should be able to fix it by the reset.

Either remove the negative terminal with the key in the on position, or it may have to be reset by the dealer. Or, you've ****ed up the module and it'll have to be replaced entirely.
