Well, I don't know if you are serious about this or not BUT actually Road Race makes a turbo kit for the 2.4l Lancer (exactly the same engine as in 2.4l Outlander): http://www.roadracemotorsports.com/s...roducts_id=293
Problem is, theoretically it might also work with the 2.4l Outlander but its only for manual transmission equipped Lancers (will not work with CVT), so I guess it's only for European market and wherever else 2.4l manual is available. I don't know of anybody who tuned the Outlanders engine but it would be an interesting project. Mitsu actually released an Outlander Ralliart concept in 2007/2008 (Evolander) but it had a 3.0l engine with supercharger. CVT transmissions from what I know can not handle a lot of power.

5 speed Lancers are available worldwide (including North America). I'm willing to bet that a manual could be easily retrofitted from a Lancer to a 2WD Outlander easily. Since the Outlander is sold with a manual transmission outside of North America...and most of the Lancers powertrain is the same as the Outlander.
The CVT is only rated for up to 2.5L naturally aspirated engines, which means less than 200 HP / ft/lb.
