Arggghhh - now I have a check engine light!
Really struggling with my wretched '07 Outlander. I have just replaced the gearbox (at vast expense) after the 'box died at just 128k miles..... Within 24 hrs the car wouldn't start - that turned out to be the starter motor needing a rebuild and a bad earth.
Now the bl**dy thing has a check engine light on
The code it is throwing is P0487 ..... which looks to point to EGR valve. I note that my OBDII software is saying the throttle is fully open all the time. Can anyone throw me a bone here? Where does one start with this one? where is the EGR valve on these engines? I am one step away from finding the nearest cliff to push this damned POS over.....
