Default ASC Fault - But no code!

Hi everyone, I have a problem with my 2009 Outlander 2.0 Elegance. The dashboard keeps displaying the ASC off / service required message, but when I scan the car there are no fault codes showing! Has anyone every come across this? Are there any obvious things I could try to rectify this? The car drives fine if I turn the ASC off before driving, but if I leave the ASC on then when this fault message comes in the dashboard the car sometimes (but doesn't always) goes into limp mode.

Any advice or pointes would be really very gratefully received!

Not all scanners can pick up ABS faults.

Its likely to be the motor in the ABS modulator that has jammed. They can be repaired by specialists

Hi thanks for your reply! I wonder is there any way to confirm that as the fault? I was hoping it would be something like a dodgy speed sensor etc.
