Default Reading torsion value 2.0 D-DI

Hi, Reading around the forums on the VW 2.0 PD engine, I believe my torsion setting maybe out.

I have poor MPG, about 36 mpg on a run, and black smoke on acceleration. Tick-over and starting is perfect, turbo is good and so is the MAF. We have also checked for leaks.

How can I read the running torsion value, to see if it is out? I understand I need it as close to 0. I guess I could make small adjustments and experiment (3 bolts on the cam pulley), can this damage anything?

Cheers, Mike

Did you find out how to read out the torsion value?

Arvid.
