Hi, I am new here. I have read probably every articles about installation the AUX for iphone. But I am still not sure if I 100% need the mit-pod adapter - so sorry for this new thread. I have the connector in the arm rest console - 5 wires. I just want to play music from my iphone via 3,5 jack, I don't need charge it. Is there a diference between using the adapter in arm rest and the connector C-15 in the back of factory radio? Or I need in both possibilities to buy mit-pod adapter?

 

You don't need an adapter. Stop throwing money out
Armrest connector is wired to radio or MMCS so it is the question of your convenience to chose either.

 

what is please MMCS? I don't have navigation display, I have 6 CD changer only. I set up the radio tu AUX and I checked the connector in armrest and none of those 5 wires had a signal. And those wires don't have a "shielding" to transfer the sound. Can those wires transfer sound anyway?

Why do you expect a signal on Aux which is input? It receives signal not sends it out

 

yes, but I still expected some signal because of the connection with radio unit. Are on the back of radio any free pins, that I can use to new 3,5 jack cable? I can't come by those pins :-(

 

I suppose you'd better pass this challenging task to someone a bit more electric-savvy.

So I definitely need an adapter? What does this adapter do? Does it change signal?

 

I dont know what adapter do, but I know without it I could not listen to ipod music in my car, and now I can. So you can spend $50 and start listening or keep doing research.
