Aux Input Noise
I am getting a whining noise coming from my speakers that varies with the engine rpm's when I plug devices(mp3 player, sirius radio) into my aux input jacks. It only happens when I use the 12v cigarette lighter. I even tried to use the one in the armrest. If I use my mp3 player without plugging it into the cigarette lighter it sounds fine. Anyone have a solution to this problem. I know they sell ground loop isolator, do they work?
I have the same issue that I reported a while ago and no solution. I am glad I can use your pain to feel better about the same issue.

Did you try using a shielded cable?
For what its worth I get the same problem on my aftermarket double din DVD player I installed. I run the sirius into the aux and its slightly noisy.
Way back when in the 70s and 80s we used to get this on our aftermarket stereos. Using a filter on the power going into the radio cleared it up.
I wonder if it would work for this.
