Default Axle Wobble??

After driving my recently purchased used 100k mile outlander a bit more. I think the shuddering i am experiencing is not from the transmission. It feels like it's coming more from unbalanced axles. It's a wobble, more so than a shudder. I'm going to jack the car up this weekend and inspect the CV joints to see if there is any play.

The question is, where the heck can i get new axles?? I have a 2009 v6 awd, and i can't seem to find any axles online other than the $600 oem units. I'm trying to get remanufactured ones for about $100-$150. I can't seem to find any shops that specialize in rebuilding axles.

Check your tyre pressure and/or wheel balance, mine had a wobble at 100-105k until I checked, one wheel was at 37psi, the other three at 31psi. Brought them all to 35psi (18" rims) and wobble vanished.

Are you sure you haven't got a wheel that is out of round?

It only happens under acceleration, i would think if it were the wheels and tires it would happen all the time, or at certain wheel speeds not directly related to acceleration.

I found some axles on ebay from a company in georgia, they seem to get good reviews. Axles are $100 a peice. Drivetech america (DTA) is the brand.
