Default Being ripped off by the dealership

I need to replace my Pedal Travel Sensor on my 2005 Outlander, I purchased a new genuine Mitsubishi one on EBay for $45.00 U.S, plus shipping ($9.99).
Never done this before and it only took 10 minutes to replace, the dealership in Canada wanted $320.00 for the sensor and $85.00 to install (Over $400.00).
That's one HUGH mark up or rip-off.

I know right? I've only ever ONCE bought a part via a dealership, it was a shift selector bulb which had to be special ordered, otherwise that too would of been bought elsewhere.

Check this "special" out at a local Canadian dealership:

Brilliant specialists capable of checking my lights, wipers and horn! For a humble $120+tax!

What makes me really mad is tire pressure check!

Tell those idiots - we have mandatory Tire Pressure Monitoring System, instantly notifying us if any tire drops the pressure below the safe value!

Which stealership is this?

Lol, it's a dealership in Manitoba, Canada. Pretty much all of the dealerships are this expensive for shop work here. We definitely get shafted.

My OP (Below) was relating to a dealership in Manitoba Canada as well, it would be nice if someone from Mitsubishi Canada could read this thread and do a follow-up, but I guess that would be asking to much.

not to be a jerk and I am new to this site, but I have been a mechanic for a while. but after installing the APP sensor, did you re-learn it. So that the new sensor can be programmed correctly.

Thanks for response, no I never did re-learn it, how do you do that?
It is however running okay, but would still like to have it confirmed.
