Hi there,

Just bought an Outlander LS 2009 today !

Can I activate and use the bluetooth button without going and paying garage installation ? Any alternative ?

Thanks.

I have an 08 ES with the Bluetooth controls on the steering wheel and I was told by Mitsubishi I would need the module/chip installed to use the Bluetooth. As far as I know there is no cheap alternative.

Thanks. I have bought it now. I exchange it for the really noisy roof rack.

not really all that stupid. If all Outlanders had the wiring, you get the benefit of two things: 1) you have a standardized manufacturing for the feature 2) you get every driver to know it is a possiblility...once the driver knows it is a possibility, it plants the seed to have the accessory installed. As much as stealerships mark things up, it is a win-win to have each vehicle have the buttons installed as a standard.
