Default Bluetooth connection delay

I've had this issue with Bluetooth call connection delay from day one, but never bothered until now. Basically, there is probably 2-3 second delay when I hear someone on another end. The caller on the other end would have to say 'Hello' three times before I could hear. I have 2007 model, does this issue exist in new ones? It's definitely not a phone, I've had this issue with several Nokia phones and now with Nexus one.

Strange....I know you are asking about new models.
My 07 has absolutely no issues with 2 different Motorola,Nokia,or IPhone.

Actually let me clarify. The issue I have is when I dial out with the phone. If I call via car voice dial it works fine. Can you confirm you don't have this issue.

I just tried manually dialing my cell phone connected to the Outlander's blue-tooth. Everything works like it should with no issues. It also works correctly if I voice dial the numbers through the Outlander's blue-tooth.
