Default Bluetooth module "loses" my phone

Hello All,

I have a 2008 XLS w/o rockford and navigation but with Bluetooth. My module loses my phone all of the time. I used to think it was my blackberry doing this but I have a new Android and from time to time I have to go through the entire pairing process because the module loses its paired phones.

Has anyone else had this problem or know a solution for it? I love the truck and the features but when it doesn't work it is quite aggravating.

It used to happen to my iPhone all the time. I finally found an older firmware that doesn't cause this anymore and it's been stable for over a year and a half. Disadvantage is my phone is out of date.

Question bluetooth loosing phone

This happens with mine everytime I turn the engine off ( with 2 different fones!).
I just don't bother with it now and use my Garmin bluetooth facility instead. This works everytime but doesn't use voice commands

make sure your phone's bluetooth is not set to go into stealth (or hidden) mode.

Default Same problem....

Hi,

I have exactly the same problem....the system looses the phones from the memory.....plus that sometimes, the system starts to dial 4digit or 5digits numbers.
Have you solved the problem?
Please let me know.

Default Don't go to fast... ;-)

OK... I found something interesting...

One time, I have to leave very quickly, so I ran in to the Outie, start engine and put on drive in a very short time and the "voice" said: "The phone is not paired because you shouldn't pair the phone during driving"....
So I supose the BlueTooth have to sync before you drive or it gonna kick your phone Out....

My bluetooth ID is hidden and no probleme except this time

Just to let you know... ;-)

My BT lost pairing 4 or 5 times. Sick and tired of it.
Will go to the dealer next week.
