Default Bonnet (Hood) open warning

Hi All

My 2006 Outlander continually shows a bonnet (hood for Americans!) open warning. The vehicle was recently worked on and the bonnet removed. I presume the sensor that detects the bonnet open/closed state was damaged or misaligned. Can anyone tell me where this sensor is located and how it works?

Thanks

The sensor is a part of the lock itself. Make sure the cable is plugged properly into the lock connector.
