boot door problem

Default boot door problem
Dear all,

I have purchased a wonderful 2008 Outlander.
It has a problem. The bottom door of the boot is very stiff. It opens but it take quite some effort. The cables are not causing the problem, it seems its something in the lower section where the joints are.

Anyone had simmilar problems? Any suggestions?

Easiest suggestion would be to lubricate the joints, probably never been done and its 7 years old so wouldnt hurt
