A/C compressor noise?

Parts were ~$240 and labor was $150.

Yep...their quote wasn't even with a genuine Mitsubishi compressor so imagine if they used one...smh

Lucky - I know this is an old thread, but I seem to have the same problem with '08 Outlander - high pitched whining noise on the AC compressor. I decided to replace it with the GPD kit compressor & clutch kit you mentioned. A repair video I watched shows that you have to drain some oil out of the new one compressor (if it comes filled with oil) so not to exceed the set capacity. What did you do regarding the oil capacity?
