Default Carplay units

Greetings everyone.

I have a 2011 Outlander GT (NA model)... The GPS reception is erratic ..suddenly looses the signal and shows that i am in middle of an ocean . I am now thinking of replacing the MMCS with some good after market units compatible with CarPlay / Android Auto.. please share any information on this.. thanks

I'm getting the kenwood unit specifically because it's works better with Maestro. With maestro, you can put up guages from the Car's CANbus and see diagnostic codes etc...
