Default CD swap

I've got an LS 4WD here in Canada(where we get bent over a barrel in pricing for vehicles)and it comes with the basic single CD player. My stereo controls have a button, "load" on the dash, which I assume is for the 6 disc head unit.
Now here's the question. I don't have the time or inclination to do a great deal of stereo upgrading, but if I can easily swap in the 6 disc unit and leave the dash as is, I might be interested in doing that. Maybe someone who has upgraded their 6 disc unit and wants to sell it (uh...mr. Chili_g, perhaps) could let me know what they want for theirs. As an aside, does the 6 disk unit play Mp3s burned to disc? That should give me more than enough music without ever putting in another CD.

It seems like that would work without a hitch. It's supposed to play mp3's, but I don't think I ever tried. I pulled mine out 1 week after I picked up the car

I'd consider a swap+cash if you're really interested. How about what they charge for a typical remote 6changer aftermarket $200 or so? It's brand new... It would help reduce the swelling on my a$$ from buying the dash panel peice for $150 [:@]

Actually... any chance you bought fancy aftermarket wheels for that LS of yours? I'd love a set of stock 16" for snowtires
