Thanks to W@zfa all my MMCS-related stuff won't be available here anymore.

Enjoy.

Looks promising...

Will this work with the J-03 model as well?

Good job vadimus. Will have to give this a crack soon.

If for some reason I stuff up the upgrade and MMCS won't boot up are you willing to upgrade for a price if sent to you?

I cloned my drive and added Loading.kwi and Alldata.kwi files, cleared Screendata FOLDER but when installed it asked for the DVD, in Japanese.
I added the original files back and the same thing occurred.
The original disk still worked.
The end of my screw driver fell into the closing mechanism so it won't fully close now - Playing with magnets at the mo.
Wife has hit the roof with time spent on it so I'm going to be delayed on my next attempt
I will try again with a new clone.
I'll test the clone before altering
I only emptied the screendata folder so will try and clear the whole partition – but thought anything to do with that would be at a later stage of the bootup.

Looks like selling pre-baked HDDs might be not a bad idea

That would be the simplist solution as I'm sure you will have a number of clients once word gets out. Maybe if you can either offer a HDD exchange or if your confident you can upload new software within a short period of time then just post back & forth. I'm happy to help on this end if you care to go this way.

Depending on the $$ involved most people would want at least;
1/ English translation
2/ NZ/OZ GPS maps working.

There may be other optional extras you could do (DVD on motion, extra HDD space, AUX inputs enabled, etc).

I am sure there would be a few car sales places around NZ that would take you up on the offer, they could drop the new h/d in when selling imported Japanese Outlanders in the yard.

I would be happy to get orders for it.
