Default Cracking from steering wheel airbag

Recently I noticed that my steering wheel started to produce cracking sound when turned... First I thought I have problem with clock spring, so I decided to take off steering wheel airbag, to make sure, and when taking it off, I noticed cracking sound is coming from horn mechanism on steering wheel(I can reproduce it with airbag taken off)- where metal airbag holder connects with plastic spring holder(as marked on photo). I can't figure out why this sound came up, when nothing is broken-maybe plastic spring holder become loose or worn? Did anybody had similar issue,is there some solution,it is very annoying I also tried tightening two screws which hold airbag, they are as tight as possible,so I eliminated that...

I'm not too familiar with moving parts of the steering wheel and what would make a cracking noise. sorry.

I think I have the same issue but it is only intermittent and only happens turning the wheel to the right (like I said..sometimes).

NO idea if it is the airbag or not.

Mine makes noise when I turn the wheel. It seems to be the airbag/horn cover rattling. It doesn't happen on hot days because the components expand and snug everything up.

so there is some factory issue,I am not alone...
I managed to 'fix' it by putting piece of rubber between airbag and grey part with audio controls...it is ugly, and it makes hard using horn on that piece of steering wheel, but I couldn't think of another way to fix this
