Default Crooked Steering Wheel

Anyone else experience a crooked steering wheel? The car rides straight so I don't think its an alignment issue? Is this normal or is this something that can wait until my first service call? Can it do any damage if left?

Its a alignment issue. When you have a chance look at another Outlander. The steering wheel should be straight when the front wheels are straight. As for damage.....you might be wearing the front tires unevenly. You may be taking the chance of loosing control of the Outie if there is something loose, cracked or damaged. I wouldn't take the chance.

Crooked? Like not a circle?
If you mean off-centre, then you are the first person ever to experience that on this forum. All cars have alignment performed at the factory...the machine that does alignment will fail to align the car with such a problem. So it is impossible for it to leave the factory that way. I would check to see if your dealer went for a joyride before you got it or somebody who has access to your keys.

Mine is slightly crooked (off center) to the left. But the car rides straight. Been like this since new.

The issue now will be if the dealer will honor to re-allign it for your as it has been a while since you purchased your outie. They may claim you hit a bump after receiving your vehicle and misaligned it yourself.

I hope they're nice enough to take care of you.
