Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone knows when the Outlander PHEV is coming to Canada?.

And do you guys think that you could always just NOT plug the electric part of it in, and just use the gasoline engine to charge it all the time?. Say if I had to drive an hour to work, and an hour back, I can't just charge it at work.

I am guessing that all we know about this is what they have announced, but the only info I've gotten so far is that you can charge the batteries with the gas engine BUT, is it only while driving?.

Outlander PHEV could be charged while driving or parked. It can also drive with discharged battery so I don't think you'll need to charge it for/before driving.

It's coming to the U.S. Quarter 2 of 2016, which means sometime in May-July of 2016. It's fully engineered and selling in other parts of the world, so it's just a matter of training dealers, getting their supply chain in order, and working out logistics assuming they'll just continue building them where they're at and just ship them here like toyota does with the prius.

Not sure about canada, but i would imagine it would be at the same time as the U.S.
