Hi Newbie to the forum here, I am thinking about buying an Evo x but a little frusrated with regards to the limited functionality of the MCSS system. It seems my £99 TomTom outperforms the MCSS Navi in every respect. Also my £200 jap radio with HDD and usb file support in my current car out performs the £2500 rockford sat/nav/AV solution.

That said the car is all other repects is very good.

Could someone clarify a couple of points.

What is the likely hood of being able to transfer my MP3 collection into the MCSS in the furture?

and what is the possibilty of uploading my current set of 600 personal POI's into the system. This seems a major problem just to be stuck with the manuafactorers POI's or do i really have to add them by hand and end up with some generic icon for each type.

For example are speed cameras including in the current MCSS system?

btw Great work of unlocking some of the restrictions so far

both Alldata.kiw and Loading.kwi are on the FTP site. Let me know if you need any more info or files. cheers
Holy cow !!
It looks totally different from the actual generation .....
Looks like a traditional DENSO NAV system. Structure is very similar with the DVD from Land Rover Discovery 3

I've patched my system, but I realized that the AUX still is motion deactivated. I read earlier in the thread that this was being worked on, but that was a while ago, is that not ironed out yet?

I totally understand, I don't mean to sound ungrateful. I sure as hell couldn't do it if it WAS my day job.
Thanks for the hard work for the patch. I'm truly digging it, and my wife loves it even more.

rcostin, how do you reverse the process back to the original? Thank you.
The short answer: Using a CD with the original loading.kwi.
The (slightly) longer answer: The loading.kwi file has to have a modified header in order to be detected as an update by MMCS' loader and to replace the already modified loading.kwi located on hdd.

Is there a way on this forum to send PMs or mail to users ?
Since it is back online it has o lot of strange behaviors.
rcsostin,

Is an original loading.kwi with a modified header available?

Good stuff!!

Otaku,
Have studied some of the description of the work with the MMCS and it isamazing.
Is it possible to add new languages to the MMCS,or is the only solution to edit the existing language tables?
Have anybody checkedout the voicefile? Discovered if it's possible to add or replace with new
languages?
Has someone looked into the issue of replace the onboard HDD with a larger one?

Thanks, and keep up the good work

Currently, the simplest option is to edit one of the existing languages.. It may be possible to add another later on.

Hrmm : I have written an editor for the original denso style voicedat.kwi.. I have had a shuftie at the new format, there are slight differences, but it shouldn't be too much effort to adapt the code to handle it.
