I've just been extremely busy over the holiday weekend and now at work. I'm glad to see we now have working update CD's for both models!

 

Since the updates are as simple as sticking in a CD now, I can easily test any new patches you might be working on. Keep on sending, and I'll take the risks!

I too want to patch my MMCS, the ISO image should only have two files, right ? ALLDATA.KWI and LOADING.KWI.
I've the cd burned and ready to go...

ok so i have downloaded the file burned to to a cdr and a dvd nothing it just says checking disc then just does nothing like there is no cd in it

any thoughts

 

Should be on a CD-R, not a DVD. Put the CD-R into a PC and confirm that there are two files on it: Alldata.kwi and Loading.kwi

Which version of the MMCS do you have? Hold SET+INFO for a few seconds to bring up the service screen, then touch Version Indication and post the "Loader" string.

I downloaded the file, unzipped with WinRar, burned a CD in Sonic, printed out the Read Me instuctions and then followed the installation steps.

Everything worked perfectly! You guys are amazing.

 

I just tried the patch, getting same issue as robh,i.e, just says checking disc message, then it goes away, I waited for a good 5 mins, no new message on the LCD.

My question is: Do you have to create from image to a CD only, not DVD, not CD-RW.

ps My MMCS is BLD-NR-261UM v1.09

 

Use a CD-R and select "Burn Image to Disc" on your burning software.
