The result is the same. Checking CD displays and then nothing. I thought maybe I am not waiting long enough and let the CD sit in there while I drove around the city on business. I have downloaded as much as I could and tried so many different things.
It appears you've got the same version as I. Not sure what the issue is. According to my records, the md5 of the "loading.kwi" file and "alldata.kwi" for the dvd-in-motion patched version should be:

LOADING.KWI 4397d9fce192254d4788d67fe632e08d
ALLDATA.KWI 466a0f8302bb1f9aa23df4ad87a451c6

Check the md5 sum of the files you've tried. If they match, surely you have the correct software. All you need are those two files on a CD-R or CD-RW. The version up confirmation screen should come up within just a few seconds after "Check Disk".

Failing that, you'll probably have to pull the hard drive, unlock it, and copy the files over manually.

Good luck!

Thank you for the quick reply. Now I get to look like I really don't know what I am doing. How do I check the md5 sum of the files?

I've never used it myself, but assuming you're using Windows, a quick search turned up this tool "digestIT": http://www.kennethballard.com/module...wSummary&pid=2

1. I burned and image with the ISO file
2. I have made a data CD with the LOADING.KWI and ALLDATA.KWI files.

The result is the same. Checking CD displays and then nothing. I thought maybe I am not waiting long enough and let the CD sit in there while I drove around the city on business.
Just to verify.... you are burning on a CD-R and burning as a IMAGE correct? You do not burn it like a data disc, but as a IMAGE.

Hello guys,
This is great work by everyone here.
Here is my problem
I have the Outlander 2005 with Japanese version of MMSC.
Loader BLD-NR-261JM 2.01
Application 00.00.46

Screenshot in att.

But jap. is not my native language.
Do you have any ideas how to upgrade it to English version?

Thanks.

The Generic patcher is complete : this means that _whatever_ version you have, DVD-in-motion is now available.

Or will be, when I finish the subsystem to my satisfaction.
Woohoo! Go Otaku!

I ran the Outlander Update CD, NR261-UM, Software version Version 00.30.94, DVD in motion allowed ISO on my 2961UM/1.09/30.94 and it works like a champ. Your the man! It was installed on a 2008 Lancer Evolution MR purchased this week. Chimay donation incoming!

Couple of things:

1) Someone told you about the annoying nag screen, but they didn't mention it happens only for the Nav function. If you pop in a DVD or were on the Music Server, you will not see it until you hit Nav. Also, that screen has a language selection menu that I think can be supressed by selecting a language in another menu. Let me know if you need more on that.

2) I saw some complaints about a newer SW version and some requests for updated files... did anyone get them to you? If you like I can hit up my dealer and get you the disk, or rip the new version from my drive if they install it for me. I'm not inclined to do it unless you ask, since I would hate to go weeks without watching movies in traffic like an idiot.

Can you link this latest update ISO? I'm having a hard time finding it. I have version 30.94 and it sounds like this will work!! Otaku, donation incoming because you're than man!
