if you get the ABS Warning lights, in any case, you will be able to restore your original coding. it is no problem.

I'm still waiting on my mini VCI cable and wanted to know if there are any programs available that I can download on my pc that will make me read "service engine" codes. Thanks

You mean will read the codes without cable?

I got ED to work and was able to clear the TPMS light on the wife's Outlander . She went to the store so I hope nothing lights up as she is driving. I got a couple questions for whoever feels like answering:
1. Can I use ED to read engine faults on my 04 Lancer?
2. How do I get the doors to lock when in D and unlock in P? In etacs custom it shows cannot select and is grayed out.
3. Which option do I set fogs so that they can come on with parklight and also highbeams?

Thanks

1. Doubt it. But any $10 BT ELM237 will do the trick. Anyway, try it.
2. Enable it first in Variant settings (Enabled+crash unlock). Once it is done those settings will be enabled.
3. Front fogs: Type B

I've spent the last few days drinking in this thread, and ordered my Mini-Vci and hope to get the software running this weekend. My 1st project will be getting the DRL's on in my 2016 Outlander. Thankfully this is well documented, so it should work out fine.

My question is, is it likely that I will be able to get a rear fog lamp to work? My Outlander has the rear fog lamp symbol on the fog lamp stalk, but being a U.S. spec model it doesn't have one installed. Has anyone added the Fuse for it to the fuse box, got a fog lamp from overseas and tried this yet? I assume there has to be an ETACS setting for No rear fog, Rear Fog RHD and Rear Fog LHD. Any insights on this?

I've added a rear fog on my 2010 Outlander.

ETACS setting for rear fog do exist, LHD/RHD is the matter of the fog light/wiring
For 2016 you'll need to replace left reverse light with a rear fog from LHD model AFAIR.

Just ordered a LH Foglamp from eBay. Pretty sure it's on the slow boat from China, so I'll check back in month or so to report my success or failure. I'm hoping all the wiring is the same and the ETACS just tells the wiring what to do. If so, it should work fine. We shall see.
