Default Exterior window Trim replacement

Hello everyone.

I recently purchased a 2017 outlander ES, this is my second outlander.

For those familiar with the car, the trim that frames the windows and protects the upper door panel on the exterior is essentially a factory installed vinyl like material.

My concern is that these areas have already become cloudy, and scratched. While the scratches are wear and tear, the cloudiness is outside of my control I suspect had to extreme Canadian weather and it’s effect on vinyl.

My question is multiphased, does anyone know if this would this fall under a warranty replacement? If not, is there an ability to improve the appearance of these areas with a product currently on the market (ie. touch up pen?) Or, is this an area that could be replaced easily at dealer level?

Thanks in advance for your assistance!

I'm in the US, so not totally familiar with Canadian warranties, but I'd take it to a dealership and plead your case. Worse they can say is no, and you'll just be out your time.
