Angry FCM forMitsubishi Outlander 2017

Forward Collision Mitigation (FCM), it doesn't warns me with audible and visual signals, and doesn't automatically applies moderate to emergency braking to reduce the severity of the collision. Do I need to do something to make it work?

Thank you.

Mine gives me a warning on the dash that says brake as well as a rapid beeping sound! Please make sure nothing is blocking the camera just behind the rear view mirror in the center of the windshield. If you have lettering on there it will block the view of that camera! Mine works just fine as well as the lane warning system!

Default FCM on outlander 2017

FCM works via a radar unit mounted it the grill. The sensor for the lane departure warning is in the unit behind the rear view mirror. The collision monitor(FCM) is always on unless you turn it off by holding the FCM button on the dash for a few seconds. there is an indicator display light that will tell you that it is off. Pressing the FCM button without holding it in, toggles the system between near and far setting.
