Finally!
Having waited since I ordered the Outie back in May, last friday I finally got to pick up my '08 2.2 DiD Instyle (Business), which is similar to the XLS loaded minus navi and sunroof - with a diesel engine though. Put some 600 km (370miles) on it so far, and it feels great. It feels just as nimble as my '04 Lancer SW Sport, but with a lot more room and a massive amount of more torque 
Impressions so far comparing to the '07 I orginally ordered (which was cancelled due to demand somewhere other than Sweden):
ยท Soft touch paint on dash is a great improvement, give the car a premium feel which was a bit lacking before.
ยท Rain sensor - just wow, never thought I would be praising it as much as I do.
ยท More powerful engine - the 2.2 vs 2.0 litre engine feels more at home in a car this size, all the hesitation is gone.
ยท Smaller key fob - nothing major, but the new fob is just so much nicer designed, and smaller.
ยท Backup sensor - added in the Instyle package in the '08, and I love it already.
ยท Leather interior - I liked the more visible seams on the '07 better, but that is a minor issue.
I need to add an aux input, my wife got a bit mad not being able to hook up her ipod - though I did see that they sell an ipod cradle for the outie here, I have to look into if it includes the wiring needed. Oh, and looking at the service interval, it seems that over here it is set for 12 months or 20000km (12427miles) - want to confirm that with the dealer though, as my car is one of the first '08s delievered in Sweden.

American Model cars really sucks. too much emission laws but we are still number One contributor of AirPollutionto the worldcompared withEurope orChina.
I never heard of those Mitsu Model before like the Lancer SW Sport.
They even sell faster cars in Europe than the States.

The 12mo or 12k miles is an error on the dealer. Just had my outtie at the dealer for a service and they reprogramed the reminder to 12mo and like 13k miles. Idiots.
