Hi all,

So I am just about to buy an Airtrek Turbo - i considered the Subaru outback/forester but I was put off by many places mentioning head gasket issues....

So before I buy the car I am having it inspected tomorrow - engine compression test in particular.

Any other suggestions of common expensive problems? Will carefully check transmission fluid, oil, coolant etc... but any common issues?

A few people seem to complain of idle/starting issues?

Any help gratefully received - thanks in advance!

Also I noticed the rear right wheel looked unevenly worn, no common issues there?

 

Well I guess there's more information available in Evo threads - barely any turbocharged Outlanders/Airtreks here...
