Seems like it was just newly created with no basis of comparison to me.

 

Elisha, I thought the same thing...and everyone has the greatest vehicles in advertisements. I keep seeing a VW commercial I think touting their superior SUV in snow...tag line at the end is, "if you have worse snow than here...you don't need a new vehicle, you need a new place to live."

Come to think of it, I'm looking for a few job. Maybe I could put on my resume, "I'll be the fastest responder in the world from my place to your place of business!"

I think what Elisha is saying is that if no one ever set a record for most figure eights in three minutes, wouldn't any attempt be a world record by definition? They never say who the previous record holder was. Don't get me wrong, I love my 2010 GT. It is the best handling severe winter car I have owned. And the record videos are fun to watch. But I 'm just saying. It is, in large part, a marketing thing.

I remember back when subaru drove one of their WRX cars up & down the side of a mountain to show how well it handled...it'd be a great marketing tool for Mitsubishi to do the same.
