Default Flickering lights

Does anyone, who has an 07 Outie without HIDs, notice that the headlights dim when the AC cycles on?

You already started a thread on this here. Do we really need another?

I figure that there are new people that may not have read that. Tech says that the ecu is programed to shut the alt off when the AC turns on (bad idea), but I am the only one who has the light flashing problem I guess.

Mine does it too, LSOctober build. For me the lights dim and the fan speed varies as the compressor cycles when Im traveling down the road.I havent mentioned it to the dealer. Ive driven many many vehicles and managed a fleet of different manufactures and only remember my Ford Festiva doing this. I figured it was because it was an aftermarket AC.

Please complain to the dealer. It is in the programing for the ecm. The alternator is shut off when the ac comes on (the highest current draw is when the ac system cycles on) so that idle will be maintained. That is what I was told. The problem is that when I am driving down the road, I am not at idle and (if the system was designed like most new cars) you should not notice a change. Also, when the car is at idle and in gear the voltage will drop to below 12v. This is a flaw in the design and needs to be addressed.
Thank you.

Mine does too, Don't worry it is normal it is just the sudden draw of current when the A/C kicks in typical SNAFU
