Agreed. I guess another way to look at is that Mitsubishi is forward-thinking! Since there are basically two major global compliances (SAE and ECE) for vehicle lighting, it's efficient in many ways to not only adhere to both standards, but to somewhat future-proof their vehicles by adhering to upcoming changes in these regulations.

our 2007 Ford Focus has a great headlamp system the D.R.L operates in the low beam of the headlamp system at half brillance , the tail and park lamps do not come on with this feature and need to be selected The regular headlamps operate normally there is a way to operate the fog lamps seperately from the headlamps
by switching on the park and tail lamps and then switching on the fog lamps
that allows us to respect the eyes of the oncoming motorists and meet BC motor vehicle act regulations
