Default Front Brake Service question for 2007 Outlander

I am replacing the front brake pads and rotors on my 07. The bolts or pins that attach the caliper to the brake carrier are not the same in the upper and lower positions. One bolt has a black band of metal around the tip that is about 1/2" wide and the other bolt is just a solid piece of metal. I was doing the brake service as part of a complete front end refresh including strut replacement and I lost my notes on which position the bolt with the metal band goes in. (I took the car apart last weekend and plan to finish the job this weekend.) Does anyone here understand my question and know which bolt goes where when I reinstall the calipers? I looked in the factory shop manual and it does not specify this.
