My 2018 Outlander PHEV got a leaked CV boot at the front axle around 65k miles. I went to the dealer and it is covered under the 100k mile warranty. They special order the whole right axle because the CV boot doesn't even have separate part # so they have to change the whole right axle..go figure. So check your CV boot before the warranty expires in 100k miles. The dust covers of the front shocks were all torn apart but they are not covered under warranty. I am going to the dealer for the warranty tomorrow, the axle is here, they said it will take a couple of hours. The part alone is $1000 with labor = $2000!! warranty! I went to this dealer for $105 oil change service till 60K and they didn't even bother to tell me about the leaked CV boot, not until my local mechanic spotted it at last oil change ($55 full synthetic)! Dealer doesn't mean top service. This is my first Mitsubishi and could be the last. Dealer services are no match to Lexus's.
