Default Front Windshield Cracked

My front Windshield has a big crack from top to middle then up again. How much should it costs to have it replaced? It is for a 2008 Mitsubishi Outlander XLS V6.

My 2016 is most $1500 for factory glass. I would think you could get it replaced for under $400 with aftermarket. I went though insurance and only had to pay $100 deductible since I have glass damage.

Also safelite did the work. Was pretty happy with the service. You should be able to call them and get a quote.

Call around to different places. I cracked my Ranger windshield and went through safelite, they reported to insurance as an accident and went kn my record as such. Later, cracked the windshield on my Impreza with only 100 miles on it....was only 350 to replace at the dealership.

I got quoted $360 at Safelite with a Lifetime warranty. Are the Aftermarket windshields as good as the originals or better?

I think so, but mine had all the extras like heated wiper blades, etc. so I requested a OEM thru my insurance. After replacement, it might squeak for a few days, but should go away after some time.

I had safelite do mine after someone bounced a rock off it at the train station where I park. Paid somewhere in the $250 range and the new one is fine, comes with the little mirror mount and everything.
