Default Fuel dramatically drops after being half full

My 2010 3.0 outlander begins to use more gas once the tank is half full. When I fill it up, I've calculated about 10-11 km per liter fuel consumption, but after hitting the halfway full mark, I get about 4 per liter. I don't run the AC and drive the same routes, basically the drive is the same. Any ideas as to why that may be?

Are you sure you use the same quality of the fuel?

Here in Sweden i'm facing a ridiculous problem with diesel: since few months back, they started to add so called "bio additive" to fuel. As the result, the consumption increased at least by 10-15% according to my estimate. Green people are trying to convince everybody that more CO2 per km is good for all of us. Not to mention the price incerase by 30% for diesel just during the last 1.5 month (~2€/L for diesel now). Well, they say, it costs more to add **** into fuel. Really? What a world we are living in...

That sounds ridiculous my friend! Here in Mexico I've used the same gas station to fuel my car the last 3 times and I've gotten the same results when I fueled at a different station. I thought of a problem with the fuel sensor but I haven't gotten enough info regarding that hypothesis.
