Well I looked up the 2007 model. I am dead on for the old rating. The new rating is about 3 miles per gallon too low. I average no lower than 22.xx something. I dont race it or beat on it at all. I try to advoid wasting gas at all times.

I'll second that antlip! I did a verry vague estimate while on the memorial day weekend and in the highway I estimated about 27MPG and in the city I usually do anywere from 20-23 depending on my driving mood for that day. My estimates were done by tank fills not by what the comp tells me. Another thing, does our car(07) even deserve having an "old" MPG rating, it has not even been a year since the car has been out.

I guess its just an average of what actual owners get? It looks like it was just being compared to the mitsubishi estimate. I am very happy with getting over 22 mpg in a suv though. Im on a tank right now where I have been using the AC alot so I will soon find out the effects it has on my mpg.

I haven't run my AC to see its effect, but so far I have been averaging from 26-29mpg on mine since using the hypermiling techniques. When I was driving like a lunatic, I was getting 17-18mpg.

I've always acheived close to the 'old' numbers...if I drive smart.

Problem is the majority of peopledon't drive with any sense of intelligence (Doesn't everyone say that?? LOL)

It's NEVER their fault that their vehicle doesn't get the mileage.numbers 'promised' by the estimate...so they complain enough that the new EPA tests reflect more aggressive driving
