i have been reading this forum for a while, I am thinking of replacing my WRX with an XLS, was originaly thinking about a Legacy...but I was positively surprised by the way the XLS drive. The equipement is far superior to the legacy.... I will miss the WRX but it is time to move on.

i want to know how the maps in the GPS get updated ?

There aren't any updates available yet, so I don't know if anyone knows for sure. There is an input plug on the front that may be for updates, but it could also be by DVD.

Updates will be by DVD. Just keep on checking NAVTEQ's site for more info. It's pretty much OK for now, and if there were any newly constructed roads in your area it won't appear until about a year after anyway. I never had any trouble not finding an exact address yet. If I can't find an address, I always ask myself if the road is known by any other name. Turns out some US major highway has a route name, a highway name and a street name for the very same lane of of road. And don't be surprised not to find Walmart, Walgreens, or Best Buy in the maps because they are not listed. I'm so sure if the same is true with other Navteq maps in other makes and models.
