I recently picked up a 2005 Outlander XLS from a dealership, and was told it has heated rear view mirrors, it now appears it does not and waiting for a reply from the dealer.
My question is can these heated mirrors be fitted without too many problems, is the wiring already there in the doors?

are you sure? the defroster button for the rear window also activates the side view mirror heaters.

 

They work...but very very slow.

The dealer confirmed after I purchased the vehicle that the XLS model does not have them, so it's something I would like to have installed if possible.

im lost here, your telling me that when I activate the rear defrost on my 07 xls, that the side mirrors defrost too?

We are talking about a 2005 Outlander not the '07 which we all know does not haveHeated rear view mirrors.

 

i thought the XLS was the top model for 2005.

 

now Im completely lost
